May 3rd Herb River to Beaufort SC arrived 2:30

This morning we got underway about 8:30. Its gonna be a short day. We have made it to South Carolina ! ! ! Its 11:3o and we are passing Hilton Head Island, MANY rude boaters. As we crossed mile marker 560 we're in Skull Creek headin for our next large water crossing........the Chechessee River and the Port Royal Sound.

Its windy. There was a big trawler and the women on board had a ton of laundry hung out. It was very organised. But as we came out of the protection of the creek it was apparent that the laundry was in peril. Gary mentioned that if she didn't take it in we'd be picking up her underwear.
