Shelly and Terri the WOMEN in charge of the Brunswick Landing Marina.

These two women are in charge of docking, fueling and assigning every boat that comes into this marina. A daunting task. After they dock your boat, sign you in, fuel up your boat, and assign you a slip, they then run over to the slip that your headed toward and tie up the boat in the slip. I've also seen Shelly washing boats. So here is a toast .........to two can do, fun women with a tough physical job. Thanks for making our stay there a pleasant one.

No wonder its a favorite! ! !

I'm happy to be holed up in Brunswick Landing Marina for the weekend.

France and Ian introduced us to Sandy and Ed(they have 17 grandchildren!!) another couple who married someone they liked, and they have no problem spending alot of time together. Sandy offered to take me into town to reprovision and that's big. Gary and Brittany did some laundry while I was gone. He also changed the oil in the generator. In 30 hours we'll have to change the oil in the boat again. On our way to PUBLIX (the local food market chain) Nancy and I stopped at a local flea market. I rounded up some fresh vegtables and I'm talking 2 lbs of green beans, 2 cucumbers, 3 zucc's, and some 2 lbs of red potatoes. The very sweet guy running the stand bagged up my veggies with his dirty hands and started figuring in his head what I owed. After a few minutes he said,"that'll be 2 bucks even." I was like "okaaaaay" and paid the man. We walked around the rest of the flea market and I picked up a DVD, and a pad of paper for Gary, ate a hot dog with mustard and a bag of pop corn. Not a good idea to go major food shopping when your hungry. After filling the back of Sandy's SUV with goods I called Gary and BT and had them meet me with a cart to unload. Gary wanted to know if all of "it" was ours! I'm like "YEAH" I've been eating alot of tuna fish and crackers I think we're running out of stuff. We were down to 3 red potatoes and an apple. The brown bannana's got trimmed up and smashed into a bowl of grits for my breakfast. After Gary got over the initial shock we immediately had to get ready for visiting on the "Changing Attitudes." Ed and Nancy are both quick with a smile and a hug. Ed is an extroverted Italian who can get loud.... so I liked him right off. Nancy is just so nice and knows what another cruiser needs and takes care of it. Ed too .......he met us at the dock when we were first coming in to the slip and helped with lines.

We went out to the Wee Pub on Saturday night and had a great time listening to a blues band. We were the only people in the room (which is pretty "WEE") for the first hour and it was like a private concert. Food was great too!

On Sunday we got up tired and walked to church anyway. Not sure of church start times we walked up Gloucester Street. St Marks was the closest but we had missed the 9:15 service and then I spotted a sign across the street for the First United Methodist Church and I stuck my head in the door. Three women were having a bible study and one of them Susie took us under her wing and walked us down the street to the actual church building. She introduced us to the preacher and we were good to go. Everyone was very friendly and interested in the fact that we were living on the boat, where were we headed etc. We also got a referral to see the movie "Kate and Leopold" I think Otis Elevators is mentioned.

Keep us in your prayers, your in ours
