April 7th Friday...movin on

Like I said in the last post, we are movin on. It was a pretty good night, sleep wise. We are feeding Misty as much as we can and keeping her up and in the sunshine for a good portion of the day. She prefers hiding on BT's bottom bunk in the dark. Tough kitties. Up and adam Misty!! First thing this morning we shot out of bed at the sound of something slamming into the bow. Turns out it was just the tides turning and the mooring ball hit us. Still scary enough to get your heart pumping in your chest. That was about 6:30.
We got underway almost immediately at like 7. Gary is driving from up top which is his preference and Brittany is at her post , right next to him. I started cleaning the cat litter results of last nights kitty squaredance. Its getting better, there was only a trail from the cat box... up ontop of the Icy Tek (GREAT cooler by the way) and then to the doorway. The first night we had the cat back on board it was very humid and the deck had a layer of moisture on it. Misty walks outside gets her feet wet, steps into the cat box, digs around... throws it about the deck and then walks back out of the litter (scoopable-very absorbent) and through out the night walks all over the entire boat. Kitty prints EVErywhere. Up the ladder, around the flybridge, out to the bow ...EVERYwhere. It turns to paste when its wet. So after cleaning thoroughly its time to make breakfast. Making breakfast entails electricity. I'm not using our totally stick pan which Gary seems to prefer. I like NON stick. The only non stick pan I have now (Brittany finished off the little one) is the electric skillet. So I break out the Generator , put the skillet on top of the Icey Tek and plug in. It's roast beef hash and scrambled eggs, all while underway.
Upon arriving in Naples we were told that there were no moorings available. Its the weekend.
So we're inside now (meaning we are out of the gulf) and heading toward Rookery Cove to anchor.
