It is a great day to tear apart the bow and search for Gary's tan shorts. I can't find them anywhere. Gary is convinced they've gone the same way as his beloved white, long sleeve shirt with the red carnations on the shoulders. I swear I had nothing to do with it. As I pulled out the bags of winter clothes, blankets and tools I was glad I took the bow apart. I found a deposit of hair ball that Misty so generousely left .............about a month ago. Yes, it was covered in grey fuzz. I called Brittany for assistance. I took the cardboard box out that has a case of wine in it. I placed one bottle of wine at a time in between the ribs of the hull and packed the bags of clothes and blankets around it. Later someone told me that cockroaches and other assorted uninviteds lay there eggs in between the cardboard. Paper bags are also a favorite nursery site. All the different bottles looked so nice all lined up. I dropped one bottle in a space near the hull and it fell through into the bilge. Gary had to retrieve it by pulling up the flooring. Anyway, while Brittany and I were bleaching the bow, Gary went to shore to do some laundry. So there I am scrubbing away and suddenly I realized there was a very strong diesel smell. I crawl out and ask Brittany "whats that smell?" and she answered,"I don't know." mmm helpful. I walk outside and the VICTORIA and the SEA STAR are surrounded by floating diesel. I immediately shut the generator off and notified Pat and Paul of the spill. "Don't light a match!" I tell em. I wasn't sure where it was coming from, but I knew it wasn't from us. I tried calling Gary to tell him not to drive the dinghy up to the boat. I couldn't get through. Thankfully it passed by........slowly.

The day after we pulled in here, we found a hand written note on the boat. It was from Stephan and Lori from Twin Spirits. The couple we met at Rookery Bay. We got in touch with them and made plans to get together Sat night for dinner weather permitting. We also asked Ian and France to come. Ian and France came first with a lovely green bean salad to share and then it started to sprinkle. Then a slow steady rain. After some denial we put up the tarp. We started the water for the spaghetti and enjoyed cocktails while we waited. The lightening and thunder started then and the rain poured. I mentioned that we had SKYPE and that I had talked to Jean Marc the other day. That was all Brittany had to hear and she was already setting up the computer and SKYPE before I turned around. We tried "calling" Jean Marc and as it was ringing I quickly put the headphones on France. All at once she was talking in her mother tounge to Jean Marc. French is such a beautiful language. Ian was next and then Gary. Stephan and Lori called on the cell phone and said they'd be on their way as soon as they had a weather window. When they arrived the food was ready and with their contribution of salad and home made dressing we had a delicious feast to enjoy. During the evening I turned on the outside light. The light was above the tarp and shone down throught the water that had accumulated . It was quite pretty and Gary mentioned something funny concerning a disco. The party wraped up about 10 ish. Both parties had the weather with them to go home.

It is way past boaters midnight (8 o"clock).

It's Sunday and I'm sitting in the boaters tv room, in the air conditioning. The heat is terrible today with no breeze. I must have left the camera USB cord on the boat. Can't download pictures without it. Turns out that the USB cord is missing. Ian whom we'll be traveling with has a cord that works with our camera. Thankfully. We have no idea what happened to the stupid cord.

However I left my polorized sun glasses hanging in the bathroom last night and today they are gone. Several people told me that they saw them in the bathroom hanging next to the paper towels and today nothing. Grrrrrrr. And they were polorized ! ! I did get to see the beginning of African Queen today and that was great. We went over to the Veritas for cocktails and it was a wonderful evening snacking and talking. Looks like tomorrow we'll be gassing up and taking off. We need to gas up before 2 o'clock. The Dock hand told us today that a fresh shipment came in and that means a rate hike. No problem there..........I'm sure we'll be underway early. Our destination tomorrow is Cocoa Beach .....................MAYBE I can meet I dream of Jeanni ?!! If I run into her I'll ask her for a new USB cord. What do you think my chances are? :)
