January 26th and other stuff

Now an explanation for these other not so cute pics. In the summer here in Florida, as you
know the temps in general soar, which causes the grass etc to flourish. Well the water temperature soars too, 92+ degrees. Because of that the marine growth is extensive as well.
That means that the bottom of the boat has to be cleaned off or all the intakes and outakes(whatever) will get clogged. Which leads us to the shark pics. The first pic is either
a shark or a dolphin riding a wave, your guess is as good as that surfers. Next we have an 1100 lb Tiger shark caught off the coast of Martha's Vineyard during a shark tournament. And last but not least.......... this is what remains of a huge Hammerhead shark that was in the process of being caught when something much larger took advantage of the situation. Amazing ...and a bit gruesome I admit. One of the boat brokers here told us that a local diver stopped diving on boats in the marina because 6 ft Bull sharks (those are the ones on record of specifically attacking people) kept hitting him in the ribs while he was checking boats. Also one day as he was getting out of the water he grabbed the dock to pull himself up and a snake was curled up under there and got him right in the hand. He swelled up like a balloon. Anyway, Gary and I decided to hire a diver to check the undersides of the boat (which we were told looks great). Tom is the local diver here in the area and he has a great rep. Considering the fact that if Gary ever got hit in the ribs unexpectantly by anything.....he'd probably swallow his regulator (mouth piece) and or kill himself scrambling out of the water.
We felt it was 50.00 dollars well spent.
