Wed-Thurs-Fri Next BIG stop Lake OKEECHOBEE 12-09

Don't be mad , we've been at anchor. Here's the update.

Well lots of day to day things have happened but I'll sumize it to say we're having a great time.
Leona and I went shopping yesterday using the public shuttle and almost missed the last bus.
Brittany spent the last two nights experiencing life on a gorgeous Hunter Sail boat the North C.
Our trip as we've known it is coming quickly to an end. Patrice left today in his rent a car for Ft Lauderdale to fly home. We'll miss you terribly, XXOO. Jean Marc has been with us since Cape May NJ and has really become a staple. He is leaving tomorrow to continue on his trek toward the
"Ba-ha- mazzzz"by himself. God speed, fair weather, and sailable seas, our friend. We also are continuing on our journey tomorrow which means we are leaving our friends on the Voyageur C, and the North C here in Vero Beach. Some of the regulars call it Velcro Beach because either the
weather keeps you here (you get stuck) or you just love it and the conveniences and you stay loner than expected. Either way it has treated us right. When we first pulled in to Vero the Dockmaster directed us to tie up to "the Eldridge " Gary asked,"What was that?" The guy said
"its a big Krogan". Gary was like,"Yeah I know the boat!!" Well we couldn't believe it, we also
couldn't believe that we had to pull up to the side of it and get rafted up ............and no one was on board!!! talk about dock stress. We finagled it though and we got it done. They came back from shopping and they couldn't believe it either. We've often wondered where they were and here we raft up to them in Vero Beach. They have pretty much given up their claims in RI and are enjoying the freedom of cruising. Evie and Jack (on the Eldridge C) have been great neighbors. They love Eddie too (no accounting for taste) haha.

Today is wicked hot. I'm in shorts, no shoes, and a white no sleeve shirt. If it makes you feel any better.............the no seeums are out in force. ;-)
