Sunday 12-04-05 Church on the boat today-Titusville FL

Pic The Thompsons on the Victoria-starboard side tie up
The day after the window mishap I had lost my camera, the day we went to
Fort Mananzas. Jean Marc found it today. It had fallen in between the cushions.
Thank goodness. Daytona Beach/Halifax Marina was not to impressive from our
perspective. For a few days now I've been hearing a "funny noise" coming from the
engine compartment. Like if you put ground up tiles in a moving tire, maybe. Then
I'd call Gary to come listen and of course it would stop. Well After arriving at the
anchorage I heard it again. Now there is always a little stress when picking a spot to drop
the anchor. Today, however I heard the noise again, and it was quite loud. I called up to
Gary "Hey Gary, I think you should come listen to this" I was trying to sound calm. He
replied, "RIGHT NOW" "YES, RIGHT NOW, I think the black cap to the thingy on the
left with a belt is gonna wiggle off !" SO he runs down stairs in the middle of anchoring and
leaves BT at the helm, certainly capable hands. He checks it out and it stopped. Then
before he closed the hatch it does it. We were relieved to find out that it wasn't the gas filter
but the raw water pump. Which is still serious because that pump regulates the VICTORIA's
temperature. We don't want to overheat. So we finished anchoring and then took a short rest before we took the boat apart and Gary replaced the pump.
Then I'm downstairs and I hear all this banging (our signal that somethings happening).
So I run upstairs to hear Brittany and Gary saying "oh, that was so cool" Did you see the
Manatee Victoria?" GGGrrrrrrrr No all I saw was the water all disturbed.
Anyway getting back to the Marina. It was HUGE and impersonal. the anchorage was
like a mile 1/2 away from the marina. Thank goodness for Jean Marc who is no longer
alone, but has the company of his very engaging brother in law Patrice. They shuttled us
back and forth in their rental car. We'd dinghy to shore , and they'd pick us up
at this public dock so we didn't have to go the long way around. It saved us a tremendous amount of time in the dinghy.
We are on our way to Titusville. We just went under the
George E Mussen Memorial Bridge. Gary let down the outriggers
and we slid under without incident.
updates later.
Gary started the generator today and I cooked in the electric fry pay (thanks Diane).
We had scrambled eggs, kilbosi, and B&M Brown bread with raisins,
from a can. Fried up in butter.
mmmmmmmmmm
We will be having "church" on the boat today.
We go to ONEPLACE.com, pick a preacher and listen.
It is sunny and in the 60's! ! Now we're talking baybay.(baby)
Your in our prayers, keep us in yours
