2)This picture is of a place we stopped to grab a bite to eat in Virginia I believe possibly North Carolina. The Andy Griffith / Mayberry theme was at first interesting. But at closer inspection
the Very real Mayberry patrol car looked like it could have been the original. Unmaintained. It had broken windows etc. We walked inside and I'd say the term greezzy spoon was invented here. A T-shirt was push pinned to the wall with the faded faces of all my favorite Mayberry residents peering out from under the yellow haze that over the years of hanging there had accumulated.


Gary and I stayed in a Holiday Inn Express last night and woke early. We did 600 miles yesterday and so today we should be in Palmetto back at the boat, possibly after dark. We are in Georgia just going through Social Circle Georgia to be exact. There is quite a conglamoration of different style houses here. Some bordering on mansion and the others ramshackle with many other styles thrown in. The road signs and the map don't match but no worries, charts don't usually match either.
