When we got to the anchorage at St John's Brittany fell asleep on her bunk. Bill and Leona called us to come over to discuss the days happenings and plans for this am. Ray and Heather nolonger have Marco and Sylvie on board and are pushing on by themselves. Yesterday they softly ran aground and Ray immediately backed off safely. Thank God. This sounds alot easier than it is. Traveling and motoring into the unfamiliar is very stressful and by the end of the day you just want to colapse. The current here in the St Johns is veracious and confused. It was recommended that you use two anchors, however Gary was confident that our Bruce (anchor type) would hold up fine, and it did. The tug boats that went by the inlet sent such a wake! We really got rocked about and at one point I had to hold on so I wouldn't fall out of bed. We are almost to St Augustine FL.! ! ! ! Now I can take my wool hat off .............right??
PS we have been calling kennels in Bradenton, somewhere to put Eddie for the holidays........
so far they are all full. Also , when we went to the sunrise party we took Eddie with us to the beach. He is now LOADED with fleas and flea eggs. He has been banished to the back deck along with his pillow. That of course will have to be addressed in St Augustine.
Your in our prayers, keep us in yours
