Sat & Sunday

This first pic is a sample of the hurricane damage that we are starting to see. pic. 2nd is just a house that we thought had a nice set up at the end of their dock. We saw lots of dolphins but they were pretty quick to take a a pic of. Brittany did catch this one though (right there
under the bow rail). That Brittany.....
Lots of boats up out of the water. Some people totally disregard the "NO WAKE ZONE" signs posted everywhere. Laws are for the lawless.
Saturday we motored all day in very pleasant weather. We also started seeing Pelicans and Giant Blue Herons and other assorted exotics. Well exotic to us anyway.
Last night we celebrated Bill and Leona's 39th wedding anniversary! ! Jean Marc invited everyone over to the Magali to gather. He is quite the chef. We also met France and Ian from another boat and it was fun to hear them speak french. The food was great, we had Spaghetti and meat and vegi sauce, bread, and Leona contributed a ham , and I brought dessert (cheese pastry). It was a beautiful night when we left and warm! I slept pretty good.
Sunday, most of the day was spent trying to avoid this guy in a little sail boat. What a nudge.
Neither he nor his wife speak English well enough to communicate, so he keeps his radio off. So
you can't contact him for anything ie bridges opening, debris in the water etc. He passes boats and then goes so slow you almost miss the bridge opening. At the party the other night we heard that they've traveled extensively , and survived much to the surprise of many. Even the
people that can speak French said his wife doesn't even know how to put a boat in reverse or neutral ! ! Once (let the story be told) they thought a moving barge was stationary and drove
right up to it, then into it!! Fear was expressed that they were gonna be sucked underneath it, but again they miraculously survived, to torment unsuspecting boaters another day.
