Tuesday AM

Good Morning,
David and Kim left this am (see pic)and seem to be doing fine(sure to be lifelong friends). The other pic is of Billy Bob Thornton after getting a hold of some Jambalaya I made last night. Hence the glowing eyes :-)
We are waiting till tomorrow (Wed) when the wind will be cut in half and it will be that much more comfortable to motor in, not to mention we'll have more tide to push us along so we can get to the top of the Delaware Bay before the wind kicks back in. Reading about the Delaware Bay and experiencing the Delaware Bay are two very different things. Looking forward to getting across it.
So, Leona and Bill left (38 (?) foot Island packet(type of boat), David and Kim (Amanzi) and Gene and crew on the Free to B (a large Bayliner, Cruiser type power boat). They just hailed us on the radio and are fighting some waves but are fine. Jean Marc was going to leave this am at 7 but his motor wouldn't start. Gary looked at it and I think they mentioned the starter cellinoid.
Seeing as how he's traveling by himself, he's taking no chances and will stay and make repairs. I'm sure Gary will help him. Gary and Jean Marc got the engine running after Jean Marc cleaned everything real well and Gary told him how to hit it. :-)
I went Monarch Butterfly watching by bike
(about 10 miles) with friends while Gary and Brittany stayed around the boat and started getting it ready for our early morning departure.
Wait, wait....Brittany didn't want to go. Her choice. I really wanted her to go but (parents-you know how that is at 15) However, I'll make her read up on them anyway. I mean I'll strongly suggest that if she wants to go on the internet it would be in her best interest to do a little Monarch Butterfly research.
David and Kim called around 3:30 and let us know that they reached Chesapeake City safely. They also said that we had made the right choice. It was not comfortable for them and it wouldn't have been for us either. He did reccommend that we leave early (6-6:30) and we'll have Jean Marc for company. That's the plan.
I was up at 4:30, Misty is being harness trained. We are trying everything we can to make living with her on the boat comfortable for all concerned. Pain in the ................... Considering she's 11 and her whole way of life has been dramatically changed........she's doing great.
PS: Gary was working on the outboard motor and had the plastic cover to it on the side of the dinghy. Eddie decided to jump on the dinghy hoping for a ride, and dumped the cover in the drink. Within seconds Gary had pondered wether or not he had time to grab a net or go for it. He went for it. Now this water is brown. However, he prevailed and managed to get it before it went out of sight. If he hadn't our outboard to the dinghy would have not lasted very long. That would have been about $1000.00 he saved us by spending the day tearing it apart. He called Yamaha for info, rode Brittany's bike to the marine supply up the street, rode back and put it all back together.
House update: We had called the girl at A.B.H. who was to bill out the services rendered Sunday. She called us back. $1000.00 dollars because they replaced the well pump. The whole truck on the front lawn bit. Gary replaced ours in PA himself for the cost of the pump, and the gas to drag the tube thingy through the woods. E_GADS! !
Your in our prayers, keep us in yours
