Sunday the 16th of Oct

Good Morning from lovely Cape May NJ-day6. It is gorgeous this AM and Very windy. We woke up at about 7:30 and showered. Brittany will take a little more coaxing. Can't hoot with the owls all night and soar with the eagles in the morning, I always say. Well I say it sometimes......... Our renters left a message that they lost water last night. George to the rescue, I hope, or either that the plumber will have to be called in. I hope it's something simple. Grrrrrrrrr.
Eddie is begging for food so I think he's feeling better. We are getting ready for church. Gary is gonna rent a bike for himself (giggle giggle) and Brittany and I will of course will use ours. (smirk)
Taking our bikes to church was a great idea. Gary was a little uncomfortable though and commented that ,"riding this thing is like a prison sentence." He's soo funny.Brittany and I had a grand time , as you can tell by her picture. :-) The house (looks like the Munster house) and some of the other pictures were taken on the fly. Anyway, we got to church 15 minutes early!!! That's a first time in months. We attended the "Cape Island Baptist Church" at 11:00. It was a beautiful church, and a wonderful service. They had a piano AND an organ playing together and it was beautiful. We sang "Victory in Jesus" and they had a female trio sing "People need the Lord". I couldn't agree more. We've missed a couple of Sunday's through circumstances beyond our control. We're feeling quite refreshed.
After church we rode down to the seaside and bought a couple of pc's of pizza. I wanted to get a Stewart's bottled root beer but the senior behind the counter informed me that because it's the end of the season they don't replenish their stock. Bottom line , no Stewarts. We looked beyond the boardwalk and the arcade to see the water crashing against the shore. The sun was shining and warm, warm, warm. We heard a loud motorcycle and turned to look. There were hundred's of them. Gary couldn't identify the "colors" (what they have written on their back) but they were loud and they had a long procession that went on for about 5 minutes.
We then had to remember that we had to get Gary's bike back or they'd charge us for another 8 bucks. The rental was only for a half day or 4 hours. We drove through town and admired some more fantastic houses, some built in the very early 1900's.
The afternoon was spent taking care of chores. I borrowed Kim's 12 volt dust buster, and she came over and utilized our laptop to check emails. I think we were equally thrilled.
Sundays lesson: True Heroes - a man or woman willing to die for another. September 11th is a perfect example. Let's never forget.
Your in our prayers, keep us in yours
